The Y believes that all children deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Virginia YMCAs offer a wide range of high-quality youth programs, and these programs are available to all families regardless of ability to pay. We support:
- Collaboration between school districts and Ys to expand the Summer Learning Loss Prevention programs.
- Cost effective background check requirements for childcare providers that ensure all of our children remain safe, and parity in the requirements to license childcare sites.
- Protecting all of Virginia’s children through the implementation of child abuse prevention trainings and policies.
